Dr Caroline Howarth completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1995 at Sheffield University in the UK. After working as a general dentist and Senior House Office in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery she gained a Master of Medical Science in Oral Surgery in 1998. She has since been awarded the Fellowship of Dental Surgery and initiated into the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Since moving to Australia Caroline completed a Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry and Doctorate in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Melbourne.

Caroline arrived in Australia from the UK in the late 1990’s, originally only planning to stay for two years. However, she now has 5 children who are embracing the Aussie sporting way of life and is here to stay. Having her own children has given her insight into the intricacies that make up family life and has highlighted how diverse children can be – even those from the same family.

She has been lucky enough to spend 7 months travelling and camping around Australia with her family, so it seems she is still a tourist at heart. In more recent years, in an effort to keep up with her offspring, Caroline has developed an interest in health and fitness, undertaking further studies in Human Nutrition at Deakin University.
